Singapore’s National Heart Centre (NHCS), through its CVS.AI Research Laboratory,
has deployed SENSE (Singapore hEart lesioN analySEr) – an AI system co-developed
with A*STAR that automatically interprets cardiac imaging scans and assesses heart
damage from a heart attack in under a minute. The tool evaluates parameters
including coronary calcium scores, stenosis, and plaque from CT scans – a process
that previously required 2–4 hours of specialist analysis. SENSE is now being piloted
across three major Singapore hospitals.
