Anthropic rolls back mandatory data retention for its most advanced models

What it is
Anthropic plans to let enterprise customers keep more control over their data on its most capable models, reversing part of a June policy that required 30-day retention on Anthropic’s own infrastructure. The new system, still requiring 30-day retention, will let regulated customers store that data on their own cloud instead. Anthropic has been coordinating the change with 100+ enterprise customers, including Salesforce, for months, ahead of a planned rollout later this year.
